Last weekend, Alan and I had the pleasure of celebrating his sister’s wedding! We both had the honour of being included in the wedding party, and were involved in many of the preparations, for what turned out to be a very special, and perfect day.
One of my favourite details is their choice of wedding bands; they couldn’t be more perfectly suited for them. They had custom made wooden rings, using oak from Matthew’s family’s community in England, and some cherry and plum woods from Elissa’s (and Alan’s) family’s 223-year old fruit farm in the Niagara region, in Canada. (You can read more about their wedding bands on their blog.)
This weekend, they’re celebrating with Matthew’s family in England, and we certainly wish we could have been there!
